Injuries…We got This!

The team to face the old enemy England has been named. The fifteen who will line up to play for our country is out and the game four years in the making, the one we’ve all waited for is upon us. England V Wales, Twickenham, the world cup.

Despite the rumours of injuries, Liam Williams starts at fullback with Samson Lee on the bench, both coming off early in the win over Uruguay at the weekend. Scarlet Gareth Davies earns the scrum-half position with Lloyd Williams placed on the bench, leaving no room for veteran Mike Phillips. Experience apparently playing no part in this game.

Cuthbert moves to the bench allowing young dragon Hallam Amos to join George North on the wing. The tried and tested centre duo of Jamie Roberts and Scott Williams line up, with England already dishing out the mind games, with centre Sam Burgess questioning who? when asked about lining up against Scott Williams. I’ll just leave this stat courtesy of BBC, Sam who?

_85732156_burgessvroberts  Dan Biggar laces up his boots at ten with Priestland providing the replacement. The surprising omission of Justin Tipuric from the starting fifteen got tongues wagging on social media this afternoon. The osprey flanker has performed outstandingly and played a pivotal role in the welsh pack. Begs the question what does Gatland have up his sleeve? Bring on the fresh legged Tipuric when England are knackered to run riot on the field? The pairing of Warburton and Tipuric at 6 & 7 is enough to send that English pack home on their chariots. Lets not forget who were sporting those two jersey’s when Wales beat England 30-3…..Tipuric and Warburton.

Taulupe Faletau joins Lydiate and captain Warburton as the feared trio of forwards. Lock pairing of Alun Wyn Jones and Bradley Davies behind Gethin Jenkins, Scott Baldwin and Tomas Francis make up the pack. Luke Charteris, Ken Owens and Aaron Jarvis make up the bench cavalry.

So there we go! The injury list seemed never-ending but that line up has an outstanding amount of names and talent between them. British Lions, World Cup semi finalists, grand slam winners, young guns, we got it all! The experience of under pressure games mixed with fresh new faces relishing the opportunity to take on the world stage.

The build up is reaching its climax, and there’s now just one thing left to do! Lets do this boys!!!

Dere Mae’n Cymru!!!!
